A Sneak Peek at Skylark WoTG Kit - available 1st February

I was very excited when my order of NEW products arrived earlier this week! I have plenty of photos printed ready to add to pages, so started with the Skylark WoTG kit! I love the colours and they include a couple of Alison's favourite colours, so this was the perfect kit to use for some of her birthday photos. If you would like to create some pages and other projects using this kit, book into the "March Thebarton Workshop" where we will be using this paper pack! Below are the pages I have created so far!
These pages are from the WoTG kit - with minor changes

I used the Rock 'n' Roll technique to stamp the dragon fly using Lagoon & Pear Inks

This is the additional layout for the Skylark WoTGkit - with minor changes

I used the Rock 'n' Roll technique with Lagoon & Pear Inks for the heart & used foam tape to add dimension

Foam tape is a great way to add dimension to pages

I masked the 'You & Me' out of the banner and wrote my title

I love the Slate Striped Twist ties for adding something extra to a project

I saw a page like this using the NEW Ivy Lane papers by Susan Williams and loved it. Then when I got the new catalogue, I found there was a page (on page 95) featuring this layout, so I decided I would do one too! I am really pleased with how it turned out! You could create it too - the idea is based on Pattern #2 in Make It from Your Heart Volume 2

The title is cut from the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge

After cutting the overlay from the Artbooking Cricut cartridge, I added hexagons behind the frame - cut from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge using paper from the Skylark paper pack.

The cake is cut on the Cricut too. I added Aqua Dots to the cake. I also used the beautiful Lagoon Shimmer Tape - available from 1st February.

Another dragon fly stamped with Lagoon and Pear inks using the Rock 'n' Roll technique. Aqua Dots added for interest

Cross Stitch Wishes

I have been creating some cards using the January SoM - Cross Stitch Wishes Stamp Set This ones is very simple using just the Cross Stitch Wishes stamp set and Card Chatter - Sympathy Stamp Set (D1476) (retiring at the end of January)   and the Lifting Spirits Stamp Set

I have used cranberry and black inks and just kept the card simple on this one. The sentiment is from the Lifting Spirits stamp set.

Here I have used Hollyhock & Black inks and the sentiment is from the Card Chatter - Sympathy stamp set that is retiring at the end of January so if you would like it, order now so you don't miss out.

Once again I have used the Cranberry and Black inks here and stamped the string of hearts inside the card.

Do you like to add something a little different to your cards and projects? Then why not add some stitching as I have in this card. I created this one using scraps and added some stitching detail using the CTMH RulerPiercing Tool Set for the pattern. I then used some of my embroidery thread to stitch it. The button is also from my stash.

The stitching adds some interest to the card and was so simple to do.

To finish off, I used the stamped image of the needle and "threaded" my cotton through the eye!

If you would like to add this stamp set to your collection, you need to spend just $75.00 during January and you can have the stamp set for an extra $5.00.

Place your order with me by 12th January and you will receive 10% off. This offer only applies to orders placed directly with my by email.

I look forward to seeing what you have created!

Happy paper crafting.                                                                     Doreen

Artbooking Made Easy - Celebration Layouts

There are heaps of life events that deserve a little recognition, and the Cricut® Artbooking cartridge has got just the shapes you need to preserve them with pizazz! Watch the video to kickstart your own ideas on how to document all those stand-out moment with the help of the celebration-themed keys from the cartridge.

I was inspired to create a page after watching this clip and I also used the December Stamp of the Month - Special Care and the January Stamp of the Month - Cross Stitch Wishes. If you would like to get the January SoM, you have until January 31st to get it. Just spend $75.00 and you can get the stamp for just $5.00. Or you can purchase it at the full price of $24.00.

The hearts can be cut by hand if you don't have a cricut machine, or you can hand cut them once you have stamped them.

Use your CTMH markers to add colour to a black stamped image

Stamp an image twice - once in black and once in a colour and cut around part to add interest to your project

Use a frame to highlight part of your title. This one is one of the Cricut cut images I used on these pages.

If you would like to create a page like this, then contact me for more details. I would love to show you how.
